Graphite

I have been interested in drawing my whole life. Over the years I have used charcoal, graphite, and pastel among other materials. Most recently I have concentrated on using graphite.  When I decide to draw a subject whether it is a landscape or a person there is an impression that inspires my interest in that subject. I observe the details nature has provided me and they are an important part of my artwork but it is the impact of that first response that I embrace and desire to express in my drawing. I never lose sight of that initial inspiration.
